About Captain Shawn's Boat.

Capt. Shawn's boat is a Privateer 24.5'x 9'4" custom built guide boat! It sports all this:

• Able to run through 10" of water and jump sand bars and shallower spots down to 6-8".
  
  
• Will also run through a nasty bay chop to get to the quality fish in a nice, comfortable, dry ride!
  
  
• Has a 125 Gal. custom made bait well to carry all the live bait you'll need, and then 3-5 times that much more for chumming the fish with live bait. This is crucial for a successful fishing trip!
  
  
• Three Garmin units connected through NEMA2000 and up to date G.P.S. electronics to find the fish in deeper water and to find our way home when outside the sight of land.
  
  
• Plenty of dry storage to keep your personal belongings dry.
   
• This boat is one of the most stable boats you'll see for its size! Most people can't even feel it move when they step off the dock onto the boat. The more stable the boat, the longer we can all last and the more comfortable fishing is!
   
• A custom built tower outfitted with 18 rod holders so they're not in our way while fishing. Also built for comfort and to save room. This boat will carry 4 anglers or 6 people with no effort at all. She's close to an 8000 lb. boat!
   
• Sun shade covering the entire front of the boat to take a break from the sun during the hotter months of the year.
  
  
• Powered by a Yamaha 250 SHO motor mounted to a Porta-Bracket so Capt.Shawn can lift the motor straight for better and faster idling through the shallow water on his way to where the trophy fish are!
   
  
• This entire boat is designed for comfortable fishing and getting to the fish! Whether we need to run through 8-10" of water or cross a rough bay, this boat will do it all and most importantly it will do it safely, which is the number one rule! This is not a cheap boat! A lot of guides run cheaper boats and can run a little cheaper because of it, but all it takes is a little stronger wind and they are either not getting to where you need to go or trying to get there and beating you up in the dangerous process. Captain Crawford and Sandi Adams won the 5th Annual Ranger Boats/Evinrude™ Outboards Saltwater Flats Fishing Championship Tournament held at the Bahi Beach Island Resort Marina in Ruskin, Florida, with a 145.5-inch catch. The prize was worth more than $24,000. The Megalops team (Captain Mark Rankin, John Yingling, and Louis Garcia) came in second with a 145.25-inch catch. Both teams had a double slam, catching three fish each day. Ernie Rubio caught the largest snook at 32.25 inches on the Megabite. Frank Heter caught the largest red fish at 32.5 inches on the Wrench'Em In. His teammate, Jim Stanek, caught the largest trout at 26.25 inches.
