Florida Sport fishing Outfitters has the knowledge of the local waters and fish in the Tampa, Florida, area to plan the ideal fishing expeditions. The captain takes people on fishing trips to catch trout, snook, redfish, tarpon, and anything else that swims in the beautiful waters of Anna Maria, Long Boat Key, and lower Tampa Bay.

Captain Shawn Crawford can get you out on the water, no matter the fishing season. He takes all parties, including corporate clients and families with children, out to the richest fishing spots, alternating between areas so you can get your fill of the fish that are in season. Crawford is one of six captains endorsed by equipment company, Shimano™. You only have to bring the food and beverages. He hosts many excursions, including:

Red fish are among the most plentiful fish in our area. The sizes range between 11 inches and 40 inches, with the average being 23 inches. You can expect to get close to the daily limit or more.

Deposit

Trips require a deposit, which is refundable if the excursion is cancelled two weeks or more in advance. Captain Crawford will contact you the day before the trip to ensure that you will be there. The total bill will be paid to Captain Shawn at Kingsfish Boat Ramp in Holmes Beach, Florida.

The Boat

Florida Sportfishing Outfitters uses a customized privateer. Captain Shawn is endorsed by Yamaha™ and only uses Yamaha outboards for all excursions. Privateers are used by everyone from private fishermen to the military due to their safety, comfort, and ability to operate in both rough and shallow (8 to 10 inches) waters. Boat features include:
